200 aircraft, pilots from 12 countries, and 17 hours of aerial spectacle. That’s what the organizers of BIAS (Bucharest International Air Show) are preparing for the weekend. The event takes place at Băneasa Airport and kicks off on Saturday morning. Pilots have already started training, as during aerobatic maneuvers the planes get extremely close to one another, and any wrong move could cause disaster. However, the exercises went flawlessly. We spent three hours alongside the pilots of the Romanian Aeroclub and learned more about the surprises they are preparing for the public. The organizers estimate that over 150,000 spectators will attend BIAS this weekend.
